A man in his 40s was rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car in Kibworth.

Police and ambulances raced to the scene of the collision on the High Street in Kibworth at 6.20pm on Friday evening (December 11).

The injured pedestrian was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre, said Leicestershire Police.

“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing,” said police.

“A scene preservation was in place while emergency services attended the scene.

“This was lifted later on in the evening.”

Meanwhile, police were also called at 8.34pm on Saturday (December 12) to a single-car collision on Kibworth Road, Wistow, near Kibworth.

“The car was reported to have left the road and overturned into a nearby field.

“Three people – a man and two women - were reported to have been in the vehicle at the time of the collision but had safely made their way out of the vehicle,” said police.

The car’s driver and two passengers were taken to University Hospital Coventry by road ambulance.

“Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

“Enquiries are ongoing,” said police.
