A 34-year-old man from Market Harborough has been remanded in custody on six charges of sexual assaults on children and eight charges of possessing and distributing indecent images of children.
Robin Maughan, who appeared at Leicester Crown Court today (Thursday) via videolink from Leicester Prison, was told the case against him was adjourned until January 28.
Maughan was told by Judge Ebraham Mooncey that the adjournment was needed because more charges had emerged since the initial eight, and all the charges would be put to Maughan together on January 28.
The more recent charges involve the six sexual assaults on children.
Maughan had already faced eight charges; three of possessing indecent images of children, three of distributing indecent images of children, one of taken indecent photographs of children, and one of inciting children to distribute indecent images of themselves.
The alleged offences all occurred in Market Harborough since December 2014.
