Leicestershire children’s hospice, Rainbows, has received a much-appreciated pot of gold, thanks to the support and generosity of guests at a charity ball, hosted by Bruntingthorpe-based automotive business, Manheim Online.

A cheque for £11,588 - more than £3,500 over the business’s projected target - was presented after the event to Kate Golding, Rainbows’s corporate partnership manager, by Dave Parry and Hannah Vine from Manheim Online (see photo above).

About 120 guests from the UK motor trade came to the event at Hothorpe Hall in Theddingworth - and they broke with black-tie tradition by wearing bright red ties and dresses in a colour from the rainbow, to celebrate the charity.

The venue and meal were provided free of charge by Hothorpe Hall. Leicester car retailer, V12 Sports and Classics, sponsored the event.
