Lantern parade will light up Market Harborough streets for Christmas

A lantern parade will be held through the centre of Market Harborough, as part of the Christmas celebrations.

It will be held on the same day as the town’s Christmas lights switch-on - which take place on November 27, from 4pm to 7pm in The Square.

Everyone is invited to join the procession along the Millenium Mile from Welland Park to The Square from 4.30pm.

Those taking part in the procession/ performing will have an opportunity to put their names into a draw to turn on the lights. Free carol booklets will also be available.

Free lantern making sessions being held for people make their lanterns for the parade.

The first one will be held this Saturday (November 7) and the next one will be on Saturday November 14.

Both sessions will be held at The Methodist Church Hall, Northampton Road, Market Harborough.

All materials to make your lantern will be provided.
