More than 25,000 tickets have already been sold for Kilworth House Theatre’s summer season of plays .
The North Kilworth venue has seen several performances sell out since tickets went on sale four weeks ago.
The theatre, which opened in 2007, is staging a 32-date run of Singin’ in the Rain from June 3 to July 19 with a range of evening and matinee shows.
It will then go on to stage Legally Blonde: The Musical for 38 shows between August 20 and September 20.
Prices for both productions range from £30 to £38.
Adapted from the movie of the same name, Singin’ in the Rain includes some of the best-loved comedy routines, dance numbers and ballads ever written.
The light-hearted spoof set in 1920s Hollywood is packed full of charm, romance and glamour and features all the songs from the MGM score including Good Morning, Make ‘em Laugh, You Stepped Out Of A Dream, You Are My Lucky Star and, of course, the eponymous title song.
The second production is musical comedy Legally Blonde which has won seven major awards including Best Musical at the 2011 Olivier Awards.
It revolves around perennially perky university student Elle Woods who decides to go to Harvard Law School after boyfriend Warner dumps her. Determined to win back her man, she learns that it’s so much better to be smart.
The theatre attracted a total audience of more than 50,000 people last year.
