The Independent Police Complaints Commission has launched a witness appeal following the death of a van driver who collided with a Warwickshire Police car on the A5 near Lutterworth.
A Warwickshire Police officer was driving a marked BMW police car south along the A5 north-west of Claybrooke Parva on April 16 at 11.17pm when the collision occurred.
The white Mercedes Vito van was being driven in the opposite direction by Mr Jeetandra Dadral.
Mr Dadral, 34, from Handsworth Wood, Birmingham, died at the scene from his injuries.
The IPCC was informed shortly after the incident and subsequently declared an independent investigation.
IPCC investigators have now launched a witness appeal for anyone who may have been in the area at the time.
IPCC Commissioner Derrick Campbell said:“Our investigation will examine the actions of the drivers and the events that took place. I would urge anyone with information or who may have seen anything that night to contact us and help with our enquiries.”
