A Harborough pre-school team is celebrating after a successful visit by Ofsted inspectors.

Little Acorns Pre-School meets daily at St Dionysius Church Hall, adjacent to Harborough Medical Centre.

Ofsted inspectors visited the pre-school and have awarded them a ‘Good’ rating, one away from the top mark the pre-school could receive.

Pre-school managers Karen Ryan and Jane James said: “This is a fantastic result for everyone.

“It’s our first Ofsted inspection after having taken ownership of the pre-school just 17 months ago. We would like to thank all of the staff for their hard work and commitment in achieving this standard.

“We are especially proud of all the children and thank them and their parents for the wonderful support they have given the team over the past year.”

In their report, Ofsted said: “Staff provide rich, imaginative and varied resources and activities to promote all areas of learning. All staff show passion and drive to continually improve the quality of the service provided for children and their families.”
