Police investigating an assault in Market Harborough have released a computer-generated image of one of the suspects.

The image was released on Thursday, January 22, one month and eight days after the attack.

Two men were assaulted as they tried to get into a taxi in Market Harborough near to the taxi rank in High Street.

One of the victims suffered a broken jaw and required hospital treatment for his injuries.

The attack happened near the Oxfam charity shop, on Sunday, December 14, at about 3am.

The victims were getting into a taxi when they were approached from behind and assaulted by a group of two or three men.

PC 2146 Yassin Desai, who is the investigating officer, said: “We made an appeal for information about this incident earlier this month [on January 2] and as a result, we have received a number of responses.

“Our enquiries are still very much ongoing and we would encourage anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the man, to please get in touch.

Anyone with information in relation to the appeal is asked to call the police 101 number, follow the instructions to leave a message for the officer and when prompted key in the officer’s ID number 2146.
