The long-awaited development of St Luke’s Hospital in Market Harborough may be back on track.
We reported last month how a unique set of bureaucratic red tape had caused the plans to grind to a halt.
But yesterday (Thursday), NHS England said those problems have been resolved.
In a statement, it said: “NHS East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG and NHS Property Services have met and reached agreement on the wording of the legal letter required to provide indentification for the St Luke’s Hospital Development. NHS England has given its approval.
“This unlocks the recent delay in negotiations and allows the project to move forward once again. Contractors can now be engaged to agree a start date for work on site to begin.”
More on this in next week’s Harborough Mail.
