Dozens of children kicked off the Easter weekend in style by taking part in Harborough Market’s bonnet competition.
A dazzling array of bonnets were paraded in front of judges, with chicks, bunnies, flowers and eggs adorning many of the clever creations.
The winner of the 7-12 age category was a family effort with Lois, Immy and Charlie, pictured above, all helping to create a highly detailed green bonnet covered in flowers, butterflies and sheep.
The winner of the 0-6 section was five-year-old Andrew (pictured, inset) with his fabulous fluffy sheep bonnet. Both winners won a new bike from the market operators, Market Place, with all entrants receiving either an Easter egg, book or a DVD.
Manager Sairah Butt said: “It was brilliant to see so many children at the market.”its.
