The Harborough office of Harrison Murray estate agents and the Nottingham Building Society is all set to be transformed into an exotic paradise – partly thanks to local youngsters.
Children from Little Angels Day Nursery are busily preparing colourful beach huts that will take pride of place in the window of the High Street branch in time for the eagerly awaited Harborough by the Sea event.
Their vibrant designs will form part of a beach-themed window display and which will be entered into the Harborough by the Sea 2015 best-dressed window competition.
Manager Kameron Hutchinson said: “Harborough by the Sea is a fantastic annual event and when we heard about the window-dressing competition, we knew we had to be part of it.
“We have a really strong link-up with Little Angels so it was only right to get them involved and they have been putting lots of creative energy into making some brilliant beach huts.
“My fiancée is a primary school teacher and her class have also been busy cutting and colouring some shapes to be included in the window display, too.
“We are all really looking forward to this year’s Harborough by the Sea and really pleased to have been able to engage with local youngsters in the build-up, to help put together what we hope will be a winning window.”
The new-look window will be visible at 45 High Street, Market Harborough, from 28 July, with competition judging set to take place two days later.
Harborough by the Sea, which sees tonnes of sand shipped in and the town square transformed into a beach, with other attractions including deck chairs, Punch and Judy shows and paddling pools, takes place from July 31 to August 5.
