Harborough Market traders are reminding shoppers that they too are open until 9pm tonight for the Christmas Fayre and are ready to join in all of the town’s festivities!
So much so in fact that Crumbs! owners Simon and Trish Mayers are continuing their tradition of giving back to the town and are baking a huge Christmas celebration cake to wish the people of Harborough a Merry Christmas from all the traders at the market. Anyone that comes along to the market after 5pm can have a free slice of cake (while it lasts!) as a thank you for supporting the traders.
“It’s been a good year for us,” said Simon Mayers. “We have expanded into a bigger unit, and the cake making side of the business is going from strength to strength. This is our way of saying thank you to everyone in the town that has supported us and our fellow traders.”
Harborough Market manager, Sairah Butt urged people not to forget that the market is part of the town activities too.
“We have a host of fabulous stalls; great craft stalls full of handmade, unique items, hot food and drink, music from jazz band Saxaphonia inside the market, Meadowdale Primary joining us at 4pm for carols, carols at 5pm from former opera singer Michelle Shipley, street entertainment in St Mary’s outside of the market, and of course cake, so hopefully the public will come along and show us some support.”
Harborough Market, operated by Market Place, is open Tuesday to Saturday 8am to 5pm and Sunday 9am to 3pm for the popular antiques market.
