A Market Harborough man arrested after the mystery death of a man in Kibworth Harcourt will face no further action.

The drama unfolded after police were called to a flat in Glebeland in Kibworth at 7.31am on Sunday morning (January 19).

The alarm was raised after a seriously-injured man aged in his 30s was spotted in the garden of flats.

Medics raced to the scene and battled to save the man, who’s not been named, but tragically he died.

A 33-year-old man from Harborough was quickly detained and quizzed by police investigating the man’s death.

He was later freed on police bail.

The man, who hasn’t been named, has now been released with no further action to be taken, Leicestershire Police said.

The man’s death is still being treated as “unexplained” as detectives strive to establish exactly how and why he died.
