A Harborough recruitment company that works exclusively in the logistics industry says it has identified a possible solution for personnel shortages in the transport management sector by sponsoring training initiatives.
Sexton Logistics Recruitment of Millers Yard has partnered with the Freight Transport Association to sponsor successful candidates by putting them through the Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence which is transferable throughout the EU.
The company’s managing director, Tom Sexton, says he came up with the idea after speaking with companies about the problems they experienced when looking for new staff.
He added: “While driver shortages regularly make the news, the industry is also suffering from a skills shortage in managerial roles. We need to look at ways of attracting a new generation of logistics professionals - and one of the best ways of doing that is to offer training.”
The CPC training offer runs until December 2016 and is open to every candidate placed in a transport role by Sexton. Phone 01858 439245 or email email@example.com for more.
