Harborough estate agent wins a place in the Mr England finals

A beautifully presented estate agent with character features in an attractive small town location has won a Mr England heat.

In other words, Zachary Oldershaw (22), who works as a sales manager for Harrison Murray in Market Harborough, was recently named Mr Nottingham 2017.

He now qualifies for the national Mr England finals in Birmingham in July.

Zachary said: “What is happening is all a bit of a whirlwind, to be honest.

“A friend suggested I submit an application. Just two weeks later I went to Nottingham, feeling poorly on the day and expecting very little to be honest, and somehow found myself heading home with a bottle of champagne and a trophy. No-one was more surprised than me!”

Zachary is keen to highlight that for him the competition is more than just a ‘catwalk’.

He says while he enjoys the competition, it’s the fundraising that got him involved.

“I want to put my energy into raising the profile of, and funds for, the charity Beauty With A Purpose” he explained.

“I want to show that modelling can and should be so much more than just the catwalk – for some of us it’s also a platform to being able to make a difference.”

He added that he was also “extremely passionate” about progressing his career as an estate agent.

“I am hoping I can continue to make both elements work well” he said. “I really enjoy helping people onto, and along, the property ladder and especially for such a good company like Harrison Murray.

“I hope what I’m achieving away from work is helping other people as well as building my experience and character.”
