Acclaimed sculptor Lucinda Brown is demonstrating her work at Harborough’s Croft Wingates Gallery on Saturday, September 17.
Lucinda has been working as a professional sculptor for 16 years and her work is instantly recognisable for its attention to detail.
She said: “My inspiration is from the heart, the feeling of serenity I try to hold onto throughout my day finds its expression in my art.”
All of her faces are moulded in clay before being cast in plaster.
Lucinda will be on hand at the gallery to talk about her work and inspirations.
Croft Wingates, which has been in Harborough since 1975 and at its present home off St Mary’s Road since 2002, is showcasing the work of a number of artists in the coming months and giving people the chance to meet the individuals behind the creations.
John Snape, owner and director, said: “In addition to keeping our collection of stock current and varied, as an independent gallery, we take pleasure in holding a series of events with artists appearing in the gallery to talk to our customers and work in the gallery on one of their latest pieces.”
