A Harborough-area duo have started up a charity which will support work done by an organisation which helps children living in Nepal.

Verity Davis, from Harborough, and Pippa Blessett, from Great Bowden, are hosting a family fun day between 2 and 4pm next Saturday, June 27, at Lubenham Village Hall, where people can find out more about the charity Big Smile.

The charity will be in turn supporting and raising awareness of another charity called ChoraChori, which is the Nepali word for children.

Verity said: “I was fortunate enough to visit Nepal ten years ago where I met an amazing man called Philip Holmes who, with his wife, set up a charity called ChoraChori which is a UK registered charity that delivers grass roots support to the most needy and disadvantaged Nepalese children.”
