A football academy based in Market Harborough which is affiliated to Premiership side West Bromwich Albion FC held a half-term football course earlier this month.
The Football Development School (FDS), of 71 St Mary’s Road in Market Harborough, ran the successful half-term holiday course at its FDS Arena base, over the two days of February 17-18.
More than 20 children attended the course which included various fun games and a fiercely-fought World Cup tournament on the final day.
Children between the ages of four and 12 attended, of all abilities. Select players are then asked to attend FDS development squad training sessions held at Harborough Town FC’s Bowdens Park ground.
From there, players have the chance to play against professional football clubs as well as the chance to attend tours in Europe representing FDS and West Brom.
There is an opportunity for children who missed out on this course to come to Easter session which will be running on March 31-April 1 and April 7-8.
