Harborough auctioneers Gildings are hosting a free valuation day at the town’s indoor market next Wednesday (July 15) between 10am and 2pm.
A team of valuers will be on hand at the event so people can have their attic treasures and family heirlooms valued.
The valuation days will be held once a month.
Harborough Market manager Sairah Butt said: “We are delighted to have Gildings joining our Wednesday Antiques Market once a month.
“We hope people come along and have their items valued, but also spend some time in our food and general market halls.”
Gilding’s Auctioneers, which was founded in 1980 by John Gilding, has a team of valuers on hand to provide expert advice including John’s sons Mark Gilding, who is a general valuer, and Will Gilding a specialist in decorative arts and design.
Mark said: “We are very excited to be visiting the market to provide valuations.
“Who knows what we might find, perhaps some unusual retro jewellery, coins, militaria – particularly pieces connected with the war centenary or even pieces connected to Waterloo with the recent bicentenary, maybe pictures china or ceramics. We never know what items we will see, which makes it interesting.”
