There will be chance to find out all about gargoyles at two free events at St Peter’s Church, in Church Langton, this weekend.
On Friday there will be an illustrated talk on medieval carvings in Leicestershire and Rutland, given by Bob Trubshaw, head of Project Gargoyle, which is recording all of the counties’ medieval sculpture.
And then on Saturday from 2 to 4pm, he will lead a gargoyle hunting workshop for children of all ages.
It will include drawing, writing poems, songs and stories, plus the chance to meet some medieval gargoyles.
The events are taking place as part of the National Festival of Archaeology.
