Garden lovers are being invited to Gumley on Sunday, July 5, for the village’s open gardens event.
Nine resident will be throwing open their garden gates for the event, which begins at 11am.
Refreshments are being served at the village hall throughout the day. There will be stalls selling home-baked cakes and home-grown plants.
An exhibition featuring work by Gumley-area artists is also being held at the 12th century St Helen’s Church. Finally, for non-gardeners, a beer festival is taking place in the village pub – The Bell Inn.
Entry to gardens is £3.50 for adults (children free). Proceeds go to St Helen’s Church and the air ambulance.
