The sessions are being run by KTFC Community CIC, a company set up to give children and young people the opportunity to take part in sporting activities.

Although the scheme is being run in partnership with Kettering Town, indoor football is just one of the activities on offer – there is also American flag football, cheerleading and street dance, among others.

David Mahoney, one of the co-ordinators, said: “The idea is to attract local youths to a safe environment where they can participate in those sports.

“We are also running a ‘Little Legends’ session where younger children can come and have fun.

“We are only charging £3 for the first session and £2 for subsequent sessions on the same day - we also offer this discount if siblings come along.”
