Firefighters were called out to deal with a bonfire that had got out of control in Market Harborough.

Two crews from the town’s fire station were called to a canal footpath near The Woodlands estate, off Leicester Road, on Friday at about 9.45am, said the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service daily report log.

The firefighters used a hose reel and drag forks to help put out the small fire.

The cause was accidental, said the report log.
