Festive music event at St Mary’s church in Lutterworth

‘The Sounds of Christmas’ will be held at St Mary’s church, 7.30pm on Saturday (November 28) and feature the Lutterworth Town Band, local ladies choir ‘Rockapellas’ and pupils from the Lutterworth Sherrier School.

As well as music, there will be poetry and prose, as well as Christmas readings ranging from traditional ones by Charles Dickens, First World War poets and more modern ones.

The town band will also be playing Christmas carols for everyone to sing along to

The concert begins at 7.30pm and tickets are £8 (to include a glass of wine or soft drink). They are available from John Wells & Son, Station Road, Lutterworth, or 01455 552991 or 01455 556616. The event has been organised by Lutterworth Rotary Club with all proceeds going to local Rotary charities and the Lutterworth Town Mayor’s charity appeal.
