Iconic characters from the Star Wars films are making an appearance at the Harborough branch of Specsavers today (Saturday, April 9) to take part in a day of fundraising for Voluntary Action South Leicestershire.
A group of five Imperial Storm Troopers will be paying a visit, along with Darth Vader himself.
As well as the visit by Imperial forces, there will also be the chance for youngsters to take part in a Jedi Training Academy.
Barry Henning, store director at Specsavers in Harborough, said: “We like to do things a little differently, and we all love to have some fun, especially when it’s for a good cause. The Star Wars idea is something that the whole team love and are very enthusiastic about. Even if you’re not a fan of the movies, I’d recommend coming along for some light-hearted entertainment in aid of VASL.
“In amongst all the fun (which may include Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers breaking out some dance moves) there really will be something for the whole family, including a Star Wars baddies-themed coconut shy, a popcorn machine, face-painting and a fantastic Star Wars prize hamper.”
