Members of Harborough Environment Group’s Love Where You Live and Work section joined forces with staff from the Harborough and Kettering branches of Costa Coffee and a team from Home Farm Trust for a town litter-pick.
They gathered 25 bags of litter from the centre of town, Symington’s recreation ground, and along Millennium Way to the station.
Claire Cook, manager of the Harborough Costa, said: “It has been great to have the litter-picking event. It is important for us to get involved with our local community.”
If you would like to join the Love Where You Live group, and attend litter-picking events, or would like to do a regular litter-pick around the area where you live, please contact the MHEG website at www.mheg.org.uk.
The group also campaign on recycling, and have speakers available to give talks.
