The items of jewellery, including gold earrings with precious stones, charms, necklaces and rings, were recovered from a van in Lutterworth on December 17.

Two bags of sixpence coins dating back to the 1940s and 1950s were also recovered, along with 29 Jubilee Coins in clear wallets.

It is thought the van was used in a number of burglaries across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

PC Tim Gilliver said: “Lots of items of jewellery were recovered when the van was seized and we are keen to reunite them with their owners.

“If you recognise any of these items as being yours, contact police on 101.”
