A great night of fun, laughter and snooker was had on Saturday night in the Harborough district when legendary snooker champions Steve Davis and John Parrot made a visit to Leicester Grammar School Hall.

Former player and commentator John Virgo entertained the crowd in Great Glen with a series of trick shots, ably assisted by audience members.

Davis and Parrott then played doubles with Leicester City Football Club legends Muzzy Izzet and Steve Walsh.

After the interval, Davis took on seven-year-old Westley Cooper and then a member of the audience played against Parrott. The night finished with Davis playing a three-frame match against Indian’s number one player Aditya Mehta with Davis winning 2-1.

An auction and raffle raised more than £2,700 for Leicester hospice charity Loros and the Paul Hunter Foundation.
