Late-night thieves who stole a caravan in a Harborough village are being hunted by police.

The offenders pinched the white Sterling 495 vehicle in Husbands Bosworth on Monday night.

Police were alerted just before 11.30pm that the caravan had been taken from a site in Sibbertoft Road, Husbands Bosworth.

Officers raced to the scene and the force helicopter was quickly drafted in but the thieves had already escaped.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

“We would ask anyone with information, who has seen the caravan or knows of its whereabouts to call police on 101, quoting incident 627 of 4 May,” said a Leicestershire Police spokeswoman.
