Two teenagers have been arrested by police today (Sunday) after 21-year-old Keiran Silcott was stabbed in Market Harborough last night.

A man aged 18 and a 16-year-old boy were detained by officers in Northamptonshire on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent following the attack.

They were in police custody tonight as they were questioned by detectives hunting Keiran’s attackers.

“The investigation continues and officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the circumstances surrounding the incident,” said Leicestershire Police tonight.

“They also appealed to anyone who captured footage of the incident on their phones or on video recording equipment to contact them.”

Anyone with any information is being urged to contact Det Con 1237 Alex Horwood on 101, quoting crime number 21*326837.

Kieran Silcott was flown to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire by air ambulance for urgent treatment after he was knifed in the chest and right leg, as we reported in the early hours of this morning.

He’s now been allowed to go home to Lubenham where he lives with his family as police hunting his attackers step up their appeals for eye-witnesses to come forward.

Kieran is thought to have been stabbed in the Britannia Walk area of Market Harborough near Little Bowden Recreation Ground at about 9.20pm last night before he collapsed just yards from Sainsbury’s superstore in the town centre.

Police investigating the violent incident which has shocked Market Harborough immediately sealed off the area around Sainsbury’s as well as Britannia Walk as they search for crucial forensic clues.
