Two people were arrested on suspicion of importing cannabis worth £85,000 after police swooped on a house in Harborough district.

The suspects were seized at a house in Broughton Astley on Thursday morning (November 19).

They were detained after police were tipped off by Border Force agents who had intercepted cannabis worth £85,000.

A man aged 46 and a 49-year-old woman were being questioned after a warrant under the misuse of drugs act was executed at a house in Ambergate Close, Broughton Astley.
