A teenager has been arrested after police targeting county lines drugs gangs raided two flats in Market Harborough.
The 19-year-old man from London was held when officers swooped on the properties in Jubilee Gardens, off Great Bowden Road, on Friday March 27.

Hide AdPolice also seized a “small quantity” of class A drugs on the raid as they detained the teenage suspect.
The group includes the most dangerous narcotics such as crack cocaine, cocaine, ecstasy and heroin.
And people involved in the supply and production of class A drugs face up to life in jail.
A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said: “Officers executed warrants at two addresses in Jubilee Gardens, Market Harborough, on Friday 27 March.
“The warrants were executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Hide Ad“A 19-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
“A small quantity of class A drugs were also recovered from the address.”
She said the operation was carried out as police crack down on notorious county lines drugs gangs.
“The operational activity was in relation to the force’s efforts to tackle county lines-related drugs misuse.

Hide Ad“The term ‘county lines’ describes gangs and organised criminal networks involved in exporting drugs into other areas of the county, often small towns, using dedicated mobile phone lines,” said the police spokeswoman.
“They exploit children and vulnerable adults to move and store the drugs through coercion, intimidation, violence and weapons.”
