Teen suffers broken jaw in knife-point robbery

A teenager suffered a broken jaw and arm after he was attacked and robbed by knife-wielding thugs in Desborough.

The 19-year-old victim was walking along Harrington Road into Alexandra Road in the early hours of new Year’s Day when he was approached by two men who grabbed him, threw him to the ground and threatened him with a knife.

They punched him several times before stealing his mobile phone and wallet, said police.

The victim was left with a broken arm and jaw.

The offenders are both described as white, aged 20 to 30. One had dark hair and the other ginger hair and freckles.

Witnesses to the attack, which happened some time between 2.30am and 3.30am, are urged to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.
