A 15-year-old boy has been charged after a teenager was injured in a suspected knife attack in a popular park in Kibworth Beauchamp on Saturday (February 6).
The schoolboy suspect has been charged with attempted robbery, possession of a knife in a public place and two counts of assault by beating.

Hide AdThe teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear before Leicester Youth Court at Leicester magistrates’ court today (Tuesday).
He’s been charged after an incident at Kibworth Park on Longbreach Road, Kibworth Beauchamp, known locally as ‘Tin Bridge’, on Saturday afternoon.
A 17-year-old boy, who’s thought to be local, was assaulted between 2.30pm and 2.45pm.
He suffered a “small number of lacerations believed to have been caused by a knife”, said Leicestershire Police.
The victim was taken to Kettering General Hospital and treated for non-life changing injuries to his thumb and elbow before being allowed to go home.
