A man arrested after police seized drugs at a house in Market Harborough yesterday (Monday) has been released as enquiries continue.

The 39-year-old suspect from Market Harborough was freed “under investigation” after officers entered a house in Lathkill Street, off Northampton Road, yesterday morning.

Police seized cannabis and a suspected amount of cocaine in the raid.

Officers executed a magistrates’ warrant at the property under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

“On entering the address, officers found cannabis and a small quantity of what was believed to be cocaine.

“A 39-year-old man from Market Harborough was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply,” said Leicestershire Police yesterday.
