Banned driver thought they could get away with driving in the Harborough district - but ended up spending the night in a police cell
A banned driver who jumped back behind the wheel in Market Harborough ended up spending the night in a police cell.
The motorist’s Mercedes was stopped by a police priority team in Bellfields Lane, Little Bowden, on Saturday night.
They were found to be disqualified from driving after being pulled up on the busy feeder road off Kettering Road in a special stop check by a sergeant and constable.
“Their company car is being seized and the driver is off to custody for the night,” said Harborough Police on Saturday night.
