Police are appealing for witnesses after a racist incident at a petrol station in Lutterworth.

The incident took place inside the Jet Service Station in Leicester Road at about 3.10pm on Friday, December 6. Police released their appeal for information on Monday.

A woman who was in the shop paying for her fuel was involved in an altercation with a man and subjected to a racist comment. A 33-year-old man has been spoken to in relation to the incident and enquiries are continuing.

PC Wing Li , who is investigating, said: “We know there were other people in the service station at the time and we appreciate that the incident was some time ago but if you recall witnessing this or have any information about the incident then please get in touch using the 101 number.”
