Several eyewitnesses have reported a crash on the A508 Great Oxendon road this morning (Tuesday).
It involved a motorbike and a blue Peugeot car and happened not far from The George pub in the village.
One eyewitness, Oliver Jelley, was travelling through the village from his home in Market Harborough to his office in Brixworth.
He said: “There was plastic and metal all over the road. It looked really nasty. It looked as if the motorbike had gone into the side of the car.
“A recovery vehicle was taking away debris from the site.”
A spokeswoman from Northamptonshire Police said the crash happened at 7.20am this morning and that the air ambulance was also called.
Officers from Northants and Leicestershire attended.
