A free Christmas concert is being performed in the Harborough district this Saturday and people are being invited to come along and show their support for the group.
The Leicestershire Carers’ Choir will be singing at The Wycliffe Rooms in George Street, Lutterworth, from 3pm to 5pm on Saturday. Doors open at 2.30pm.
The choir is led by the Market Harborough-based Voluntary Action South Leicestershire charity.
The choir was set up earlier this year after receiving a grant from The Big Lottery Fund to provide an uplifting hobby for carers who look after a relative or friend.
VASL runs two choirs, in South Wigston and Hinckley, both of which are free and have several Harborough district-based carers who attend the sessions.
Free entry to Saturday’s concert includes refreshments and mince pies.
