A woman from Market Harborough is holding a coffee morning in town this weekend to help raise money for her midnight charity climb of Mount Snowdon next month.
Ellis Jeacock will be attempting to scale the peak on May 15 in aid of The Alzheimer’s Society.
She said: “I have personal experience of Alzheimer’s and how devastating the disease can be, so I’ve always supported this charity and wanted to do something extra to help.
“I decided I wanted to do some sort of a challenge to raise some money and when I signed up to it, I realised I needed to raise more money through sponsorships, so I decided I wanted to organise a coffee morning.”
The event is taking place inside the town’s Old Grammar School, in Church Square, from 11am to 2pm this Saturday.
There will be tea, coffee, cakes and snacks available, as well as a raffle. Prizes include Estee Lauder skincare and make-up products and DKNY perfume donated by Mistry’s in Harborough, gift vouchers and pampering treatments.
The town’s Sainsbury’s supermarket has kindly donated all the tea and coffee for the day. To sponsor Ellis’s Snowdon feat, call 07738 164 950 or email email@example.com.
