Charity event in memory of life-saver Chris

A craft fair is being held in Great Bowden next weekend to raise money for the Chris Margery Memorial Fund.

The event is at Great Bowden Village Hall from 1pm until 3.30pm, next Saturday, March 28, and will give people a chance to browse for a unique hand-crafted gift.

Entry costs just 50p and refreshments will also be available.

All proceeds will be going to the Neuro
Intensive Care Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxfordshire.

The fund was set up in memory of Market Harborough man Chris Margery who died of a brain aneurysm in 2009 aged just 31. His family took comfort in knowing he became a posthumous lifesaver after his organs were used to save the lives of eight people.

The family have kept Chris’s memory alive by setting up the fund, which is boosted by annual coffee mornings.Supporters are pictured above during an event last September.
