Another successful Blaston Show has resulted in £2,150 being distributed to charities.

The main beneficiary was Headway UK Leicester. Other recipients included Harborough Twenty 12 Lions Club, Welland Valley Rotary, Stoneygate RFC, Medbourne Cricket Club, Slawston Village Hall, Blaston Church and Glooston Village Hall.

Chairman John Stones said: “These good causes make all of the hard work in organising and running the show so worthwhile. Once again, we had a brilliant day, with so many comments from visitors who remarked it was one of the best shows to date.”

The money was distributed at the 2015 Blaston and District Agricultural Show Society Annual General Meeting, held at Glooston Village Hall.

Next year’s Blaston Show will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016. For further information, visit www.blastonshow.co.uk
