Members of Market Harborough Rotary Club are raising awareness about the link between high blood pressure and strokes.
And its members will be overseeing free blood pressure checks in the town from 10am to 1pm this Saturday.
The club is joining scores of other clubs from across the UK for The Stroke Association’s annual awareness event.
Rotarians will be at St Dionysius Church, in High Street, where district nurses will be on hand to give the free checks.
Rotarian Mark Taylor said: “Over the years, this event may have prevented thousands of people from having a stroke.”
