Celebs spotted in the Three Swans

Football star Peter and his model wife Abbey, who won Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, were staying at The Three Swans Hotel in town.

The couple were in Leicestershire for the wedding of a rock star friend - Serge Pizzorno of Kasabian.

Market Harborough resident Matt Callis was sitting in the courtyard of the Three Swans having lunch with friends when he spotted the visiting celebrities.

“It was quite surreal” said Matt, who works at CDS Global in town. “When I first saw the lady, I knew I recognised her but couldn’t quite place her, but then Peter Crouch climbed out of the car...”

The couple were casually dressed, but reappeared later looking more formal, and disappeared off to the wedding in a Murphy’s taxi.

Kasabian’s Serge was marrying long-term girlfriend Amy White. Guests included comedian Noel Fielding.
