Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman they want to speak to in connection with a credit card theft in Market Harborough.

Officers are investigating the theft of the card, which happened in the Sainsbury’s car park, off Springfield Street, in Market Harborough, last month.

The credit card was stolen from a 79-year-old woman on Saturday, November 8, after a man and a woman with a map distracted the victim while asking her for directions.

Police only released the information today (Wednesday).

By the time the victim returned home, her credit card had been used in a number of stores in Narborough Road, Leicester, including a Sainsbury’s supermarket.

Anyone who recognises the man or woman in the CCTV photographs is urged to contact PC 4338 Sadie Harlock by calling the police 101 number.

Dial 101, follow the instructions to leave a message for the officer and when prompted key in the officer’s ID number 4338.
