Volunteers are needed for this year’s ‘I Love Market Harborough’ Festival.
Last year saw the launch of the event, which attracted over 600 visitors to The Square. This year, its organisers Sustainable Harborough are calling for volunteers with an interest in the town to come forward. The festival will take place on Saturday June 27 in Market Square, between 9am and 4pm. Volunteers are being asked to give up half a day of their time to help out with the running of stalls and activities on the day.
The festival aims to raise awareness of the environment and sustainability within the town.
Jo Sharman, community project officer at Sustainable Harborough, said: “We’re hoping for another great turnout at this year’s festival and are looking for volunteers who are happy to help spread the message that there are many simple changes that people can make to their day-to-day life which can have a significant impact upon the environment around them.”
