Sofi Vaughan, chairperson of the Market Harborough Christmas Fayre committee, has invited all businesses to join in and support the evening.

She said: “In 2014 I rebranded the previous Late Night Shopping event with
the support of the Market Harborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce and changed the format and idea so to involve all the streets of the town centre - not just the High Street.

“We made the event about supporting local independent businesses, traders and
organisations, something that I campaigned for.”

“Footfall is rising substantially each year, making it a destination event.”

It is hoped that the earlier request for sponsorship will enable companies to set aside the financial support ahead of the event.

All proceeds from the fayre, after costs, are returned to local causes, charities and organisations.

Sofi added: “We are looking to turn our town into a winter wonderland, full of music and entertainment for families and people of all ages.”
