A small company based in the district has scooped a prestigious title from the Giftware Association.

Beefayre, which is based at Farndon Grange in East Farndon, scooped the title of Best Body & Bath Product at the Gift of the Year spring fair at Biringham’s NEC earlier this month.

The award was presented on February 5 for Beefayre’s Waggledance collection which is available in three fragrances with natural aromas, and includes body baths, hand creams, room diffusers and scented candles.

Owner Sharon Jervis moved to East Farndon in 1989 and is also an artist and founder of a charity which helps Gambian children.

She said: “This is such a fantastic accolade for us. It was a wonderful surprise as its a very sought-after award.

“We have worked hard to develop this collection and we’re really proud of the design, look and feel we have achieved.”

The company was founded in May 2012 after several years of design, development and research. Sharon now employs four full-time staff.

It uses sustainably-sourced natural ingredients and all of its products are made in the UK.

Its collections – sold by 500 shops across the country – are inspired by British country gardens and the plants that attract honeybees. It also produces the Bee Garden range and donates three per cent of its profits to bee conservation.
