Artist scoops top prize with photo

An artist from Market Harborough has beaten more than 200 people to the top prize in gallery’s competition.

Harborough Artists Cluster member, Roger Bradley, was awarded first prize at the launch of Open 15 at the Alfred East Gallery in Kettering.

The winning work, a large scale photograph called ‘Swampy Aylestone Meadow’, looks like it could have been taken in a wilderness was actually captured within Leicester’s city boundary.

Mr Bradley’s winning work will be on show at the gallery with sixty nine other works until May 23, and he and his wife Danièle will have a show next year called Growing Old Playfully,
