Art fans descended on a Harborough gallery excited to see the relaunch of a number of classic paintings of the town’s street scenes.
Harborough artist Frank Scott painted the iconic images a number of years ago, but they have been relaunched and are available to buy from Croft Wingates.
The relaunch took place on Sunday, November 15.
The new collection comprises six signed limited editions of only 20 of each of his Harborough pieces.
Each picture is signed and numbered and also features a ‘remarque’ at the foot of the print. A remarque is a small original pencil sketch made by the artist after the printing process.
John Snape, director of Croft Wingates, off St Mary’s Road, said: “We were thrilled with how the launch went with many people turning out to view this iconic collection of signed limited editions featuring Harborough scenes and characters from the 1990s.
“Croft Wingates has been in Harborough for 40 years this year and are proud to have known and worked with Frank during that time.
“We were delighted when Frank chose Croft Wingates to display and sell this reworked collection alongside the original pen and ink and watercolour pictures, which are also here available to buy.
“We invited all of Harborough to this preview launch but if you didn’t get an invitation through your door don’t worry! The collection is still hanging here in the gallery and you can still order one of the very exclusive prints or buy an original.”
